For my Literacy in Foreign Language course I completed an "Unfamiliar Genre Project" to experiment with a genre-based approach to FLT. I chose the genre of travel blogs and created a whole unit that I would use to teach that genre to students.
I gave a presentation at our internal Foreign Language Excellence Exchange Virtual Conference titled "Syllabus design: Different ways to package language so it can be taught". This presentation could be helpful to language departments who need to work on vertical and horizontal alignment by helping individual teachers understand why their colleagues take such different approaches in their curriculum.
This is a website I created for my students which contains different kinds of free resources for learners of Spanish who wish to develop their proficiency in reading, listening, speaking, or writing. I created some of the resources, but I also include links to other resources on the internet.
