The assessment class in my teaching career, proved to be an eye-opening experience, introducing me to a fresh perspective on holding students accountable for their own work. It taught me the importance of creating assessments that are valid, reliable, practical, and ethical, while also encouraging me to analyze and critique existing assessment methods. Through this course, I developed my own unique approach to assessment, gaining a deeper understanding of what truly matters when evaluating student progress. This newfound knowledge has greatly influenced my teaching practice, allowing me to design assessments that effectively measure learning outcomes and promote student growth.
