The Master of Arts in Foreign Language Teaching program at Michigan State University is an online master's program for students from all over the world. The MAFLT is a 30-credit program, reflecting eight required courses (24 credits), a significant self-designed final project called the Experiential Module (5 credits), and the portfolio course resulting in this website (1 credit). In this reflective essay, I discuss my initial hopes for pursuing a Masters degree and how the MAFLT program exceeded my expectations. I discuss my learning on the topics of grammar instruction, Diversity*Equity*Inclusion, and Intercultural Competence. I highlight my most memorable projects, all of which can be explored further on the pages in this portfolio.
