Please feel free to ask your building teaching and learning TOSA or Davey Altree about additional information or questions you might have.
As we continue to be in a substitute shortage, it is important that we support our substitutes by having clear sub plans with all of the information they need to be successful. Please review the following templates for your professional consideration.
Please note that in addition to instruction, strong sub plans should include directions about technology use, safety protocols, expectations of students, classroom systems for success, and work to do during preparation time.
What makes MSD strong? The people in our district with a steadfast vision on Achieving Excellence in Education for all of our students. Check out these articles that have been written about our district and our commitment to student success.

Confidentiality is a fundamental aspect of The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), empowering parents with the right to access their children's education records, while also granting them control over the disclosure of personally identifiable information to uphold the privacy of their child as a student. Such provisions are designed to safeguard the privacy of students, thereby affirming FERPA's commitment to maintaining a secure and confidential educational environment for each child. When a student turns 18 years old, or enters a postsecondary institution at any age, the rights under FERPA transfer from the parents to the student (“eligible student”). The FERPA statute is found at 20 U.S.C. § 1232g and the FERPA regulations are found at 34 CFR Part 99, or click here for more information. ODE FERPA Toolkit
