The worksheets above range from learning to count, or counting the number of things in a set also known as cardinality of a set, to learning how to count using base-ten. Counting with students is the most versatile area when it comes to teaching. You do not need to have a ton of supplies on hand as you can count just about anything. Take a walk around the classroom or school and you can have a scavenger hunt. Count colors or shapes. You can start to add or subtract, group objects. Make counting fun! You can also include counting in all other areas of learning such as ELA or social studies. My confidence in this area for younger ages is high and I aim to continue learning new methods.
