As the semester ends I look back on all that has been covered in this class and all that is left to be learned. I'm just as excited now to go on ahead and one day stand in front of a classroom of my own as I was when I started this class. The only difference is that I can say I've grown in confidence and understanding.
Math is something we use everyday in our lives. It has never made sense to me hearing adults say "we don't need math." I instill this in my students every day. I don't feel as though you can ever learn too much, and when you think you've learned it all, check again.
I'm most appreciative for the math that makes things a tad bit easier such as the divisibility tests, the slide method and factor trees. Knowing what students may struggle with is helpful so that I can address those hurdles before they become mountains. I'm thankful for the opportunity I had to learn about the concepts I did.
