Outdoor target practice: Set up a target practice for children to throw something at. Use cardboard boxes, cans any re-cycle containers. Throw with small balls, bean bags or rocks
Flash light hunt: Turn off the lights and hide some objects around the house for children to go find with a flash light. For older children you could do this outside at night in a defined area.
Road play: Use some tape that can be removed easily to made a road throughout the house or room and let children drive using various sized cars.
Jumping game: Ask children to jump far keeping both feet together, jump up to touch something on a wall, or just jump in place and help them count the number of jumps. If children are older they can do this activity with hopping on one foot.
Newspaper throw: Take newspaper sheets and have them crumple them up to make balls, them work on throwing into a basket. Challenge older children by having various sized baskets
Lines on floor: Tape a short line on the floor about 5 feet. Children can walk on them like balance beams or jump over them. If young children struggle with keeping both feet on the line, then have them just walk with one foot on and one foot off, then switch feet. Once they have mastered keeping each single foot on the line then have them try keeping both feet on the line. For older children have them carry objects in their hands as they walk on the line.
Book balance beam: If you have old books and walking on a line is too hard, line up books and let them walk on them.
Hot lava: Put a few objects on the floor that they could walk to and pretend the whole floor is hot lava, you can use old books, pillows etc.
Frisbee toss: Collect lids of various sizes and have them throw them like a Frisbee toward various targets and keep score
Paper plate skate: Have the children stand on paper plates and “skate” around the carpet.
String Maze: Take some old yarn or string and let the children weave the string around furniture and then let them go through the maze of string.
