MeMoves is a program that is a sequence of combination of music movement and images use to increase attention and calm students in a short period of time. It is easy to use in the home, classroom and can be used for children as young a pre-school to the adult population.This multimedia program transforms the mind and body with the use of interactive “body puzzles,”. The patented system was designed to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, providing an effective tool for self-regulation in just a couple of minutes for anyone who uses it. The MeMoves program is divided into three categories; Joy, Focus and Calm. Within these three categories there are a total of thirteen video sequences that can be chosen from to use.
The neurological basis for MeMoves’ can be found in Polyvagal theory by Stephen Porges. MeMoves’ faces, with eye contact and expressive features of emotion, uses music supporting the same frequency as the female voice and simple gestures that align with the positive social engagement elements that were identified by Porges.
