The CICO Program is one of the most popular school-wide, prevention programs for students who are starting to engage in problem behavior. The goal of the CICO Program is to prevent students who are acting out and provide them with more frequent feedback on their behavior to prevent future problem behavior. CICO emphasizes the importance of relationships or the adult connecting with the student to shape expected behaviors and create behavioral momentum.
Goals of CICO:
Improve Structure
Provide consistency and predictability
Set students up for success through increased positive feedback and adult contact
Partner with home and school
