The Millard Sunshine Squad popped into Upchurch on Wednesday, August 30 to honor Kendra Heyne. Kendra is one of our fabulous kindergarten teachers. In her nomination form, it was noted that, "Kendra's dedication and passion for her students shine through in every aspect of her teaching. She goes above and beyond to make a positive impact on the lives of her young learners and their families."

The Upchurch Choir for 4th and 5th graders will rehearse on Monday mornings from 7:55-8:25. Our first rehearsal will be on Monday, September 18th. Please let Dr. Jensen know your child is interested in participating in this ensemble for the 2023-2024 school year by filling out this form by Tuesday, September 12th.

- Singing at the Village Pointe amphitheater in December
- Singing in Upchurch's Winter and Spring Concerts which are on Monday, December 11th and Thursday, May 9th

If you are interested in volunteering at Upchurch on a somewhat regular basis, we would love to partner with you! We are particularly looking for parents who would like to volunteer outside the classroom. If you are interested, please fill out the Google Form and we will get in touch with you.

Dr. Boucher is excited to start a Game Club at Upchurch this fall. The club will meet on Thursdays starting on September 7 and running through October 5 from 3:45-4:15 each day. It will feature family board games. This club is limited to the first 15 students to reply using the Google Form. We will prioritize students based on the order of sign-up and inform parents of the selection.

We are so excited to welcome parents in for lunch! Thank you again to the whole community for allowing students to get settled with lunchroom routines, procedures, and expectations during the first couple weeks of school.
When visiting Upchurch to have lunch with your child(ren), you will be asked to wait in the office until a couple of minutes before your child's grade level reports to the cafeteria. Please bring your photo ID.
Once you are in the lunchroom, please sit with your child at the Visitor’s Table. This is a setting where just you and your child will enjoy your meal together. Students may not ask friends to sit at the visitors table. This procedure will help to eliminate some hurt feelings of not being chosen by a peer to eat with their parent. Thank you for your understanding and helping us to enforce these expectations in the lunchroom.
