Hello Adams' Tigers!

We are checking the metrics https://www.maricopa.gov/5594/School-Metrics to ensure that it is safe for our students to come back! They were not what we were expecting for the city of Mesa on Thursday - Thursdays are when they are updated so we are on hold for whether or not MPS will be starting up again in Modified In Person Learning MIP on 9/14. I highly recommend that you watch our Board Meetings to stay as up to date as possible. You can always watch them live here: http://www.mpsaz.org/live You can also watch previous board meetings there too.

In the meantime, our Adams staff is preparing for our return and MIP learning so that we will be ready whether we come back on the 14th or not. To learn more about how we will return please visit: http://www.mpsaz.org/beprepared/reopen/modified/

FREE COVID TESTING

Free drive-thru COVID-19 testing is available for all Mesa Public Schools students, families, staff and community members. Testing is available 24/7 at Mesa Community College, 1833 W. Southern Avenue, Mesa, AZ 85202.

Testing is free, and available to all regardless of insurance, symptoms, travel history or exposure. Appointments are required, and families may schedule testing for all family members at one time. Save your spot at embrywomenshealth.com/testing-blitz.

School Lunch and Breakfast served M-F

Pick-up time is 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Students will receive two meals, lunch for the day and breakfast for the next.
Meals can be picked up at any school location and students do not need to be present. Parents, students or designees will need to provide the student's name, ID number or date of birth, and name of school currently attending.
The district will be operating the regular school meals program, so pricing policies are in effect. To promote cashless transactions, the food & nutrition department will encourage parents to submit payment through myschoolbucks.com, which is waiving transaction fees until September 30, 2020. Meal prices remain unchanged.

When we transition to Modified In Person learning school meals will change to the following procedures:

Remote learners - Parents will pre-order school meals a week ahead on the food & nutrition website. Meals will be available at the 18 secondary schools and parents will choose the site for pick up when placing an order. Meal pick up will be 7-7:30 a.m. at high schools and 7:30-8 a.m. at junior high schools on Monday (food for Monday and Tuesday) and Wednesday (food for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday).

Modified in-person learners - School meals will be available in the cafeteria during breakfast and lunch for students in attendance. Parents may pre-order meals a week ahead if they want take-home meals for days when their child is remote learning. Students will pick up meals near the end of the day in the cafeteria. Monday students will receive food for Tuesday and Wednesday; Tuesday students for Wednesday and Thursday; Thursday students for Friday; and Friday students for Monday.

On-Site support center students - Meals will be available in the cafeteria during breakfast & lunch.
