Hello Adams Tigers!
I hope you were able to read the letter we sent out November 1st to celebrate the fact that we have improved our letter grade to a B, which means we are officially "a high performing school!" We are so very excited that we have made this growth, and I want to thank you for your support at home to help our community with this accomplishment. School letter grades are earned based on student growth and proficiency on the state test that is administered every spring to our 3rd - 6th graders (AASA). Our staff has been working very hard to make this happen and we have seen incremental growth over time that has finally paid off!
We appreciate your continued support at home and wanted to remind you of at-home resources to help us maintain the progress we have made as a school! - CLICK HERE
Another way to support your child's education at home is to ask them questions about their day. Some of my favorites are: "What was your favorite thing you did or learned today?" "Who did you help today and how?" "Who did you sit with at lunch or who did you play with at recess?" "What was a question you had about your learning today?" Having a variety of questions you can ask is a great way to get a good conversation with your child going that doesn't get you that one word response of "nothing." I don't recommend asking all of these questions every day - but perhaps one of these questions each day.
Thank you as always for your support!😁

ATTENDANCE REMINDER
When you miss school, you miss out! Please help ensure your student is at school and on time each day.
Please take 10 minutes to complete the application for free and reduced lunches. Even if your family does not utilize these meals, these applications ensure we receive Title I funding to support our students at Adams. Some of the ways we use these funds are for academic supplies, hiring highly-qualified instructional assistants, having a reading lab for students, and supporting AVID implimentation. Please visit https://www.mpsaz.org/food/meal-applications/ to complete one application per family.
Walking and Jogging Club begins next Wednesday, November 9th. Kinder-6th grade students can walk or jog with Coach K or Coach Thomas during their lunch. If your child would like to participate, please make sure they bring tennis shoes and a water bottle. On Fridays, your child can participate in a team activity! Please reach out to Coach K or Coach Thomas with any questions or concerns.
Our number one priority is for students to be physically and emotionally safe. Please review the security policies for Mesa Public Schools and contact the office with any questions or concerns.
All visitors must follow Governing Board and State Statues when visiting campus for any reason.
All gates and classroom doors will be closed and locked at all times.
Staff must be wearing their MPS badge at all times.
Parents/guardians will need an appointment to visit their child's classroom.
Parents/guardians will not be allowed to walk students to the classroom/playground in order to keep all kids safe.
Visitors must check into the front office.
