Hello Adams' Tigers!
As a district we want to ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff. For that reason, we decided to start school on 2/1 with and A/B schedule so that we would have fewer students in class and it would be easier to social distance. Every Thursday our superintendents take a look at all of the metrics across the district to determine how to proceed for every individual school as there are definite differences from neighborhood to neighborhood. After I know exactly how we are going to proceed, I will do my best to let you know as well. Here is the website where we check the data: https://www.maricopa.gov/5594/School-Metrics
While your child is at home PLEASE make sure your child logs on every morning in Canvas. Attendance will be taken by teachers every morning. Students should be well aware of how to log in. Younger students may need an adult to help them do this. Teachers have been working with them regularly to make sure that they can log in. We do still need your help to keep them on schedule and to treat it like a regular school day - making sure they get to bed on time and wake up on time ready to learn!
Thank you as always for your support!😁

Also - here is a way to get involved in local government - The City of Mesa has several openings on community advisory boards including Judicial Advisory Board, Historic Preservation, Human Relations. This is a great way to become more involved in your community! To find out more visit https://www.mesaaz.gov/government/advisory-boards-committees.

Tiger Families,
The amount of resiliency Tiger Families have is AMAZING! We have had so many starts and changes to the school year! I appreciate all the flexibility and positive attitudes from the students and families. Ohio University has an article, Six Tips for Students Cooping that has some good strategies to help anyone with the stress.
If you have staff you would like to appreciate, I can be reached via email at hrchang@mpsaz.org. I would love to send them a happy message from the community!
Thank you, Hollie Chang
