Title I, Part A of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) provides financial assistance to schools to meet the needs of academically at-risk students. The goal of Title I is to provide extra instructional services and activities which support students identified as failing or most at risk of failing the state’s challenging performance standards in mathematics, reading, and writing.
A Title I school wide program is a comprehensive program used to upgrade the complete educational program in a Title 1 school thus raising academic achievement for all the students.
Your children will benefit directly or indirectly from this extra help. At Adams these funds along with other federal resources will be consolidated to support school wide positive changes.
Funds can be used to:
· Hire highly qualified instructional personnel to assist teachers within the classrooms
· Provide training for staff and teachers
· Provide supplemental instructional materials and technology
· Ensure high-quality School wide Programs
· Increase parent involvement participation
We are pleased to have these funds to provide high quality instruction for all children.
We are pleased to notify you that in accordance with the Every Students Succeeds Act, 2015, you have the right to request information regarding the professional qualifications of your child’s teacher Specifically, you may request the following:
â—Ź Whether the teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction.
â—Ź Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria has been waived.
â—Ź The baccalaureate degree major of the teacher and any other graduate certification or degree held by the teacher, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.
â—Ź Whether the child is provided services by professionals and, if so, their qualifications.
If you would like to receive this information, please contact your school’s principal Stephanie Montez at 480-472-4300, and she will be happy to assist you.

Hello Adams' Tigers!
As you may know, Dean Alleyne is now a principal at another school in the district so we now have a new Dean and her name is Hollie Chang. She comes with a wonderful wealth of experience and I am very excited to have her join our team! If you're not quite sure what a Dean does - it is basically the same as an assistant principal.
This week, teachers will start having your child dive into the Florida Virtual curriculum. If you missed the packet pick up for K- 5th students, we are offering another distribution. We want to ensure as much safety as possible so please wear a mask when you interact with our staff. Our number one priority is safety and our goal is to come back and we need to be healthy to do that!
Thank you as always for your support!

I am so excited to be the new proud member of the tiger family! I have worked in education since 2002. I have taught a variety of grade levels from 8th grade to Pre-K, most of my teaching experience was in 4th grade. In my career I have been a teacher, academic coach, behavior coach and counselor. In 2017 I came to Mesa Public Schools as a GUS counselor. I love talking with students and creating relationships. I have a great sense of humor and love a funny joke.
When I am away from work I spend my time with my family. My husband, was born in South Korea and came to the US when he was 11 years old. We have two amazing kiddos and have been married for over 20 years. Tim (we call him Timmy) is our oldest son and attends ASU. Michael is in high school and loves to swim and plays the cello.
As a family, we are animal lovers, we have three dogs and one bird. Our three dogs are Spot, Fred and Wilson and they can often be very naughty together. Albert is our African Grey Parrot and is a sweet bird who is shy and loveable. We LOVE to travel! I love to talk to people about culture, travel, food and experience. Some of my favorite place are Korea, Germany, Belgium, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands.
I can not wait to meet everyone and hear all about you!

Pick-up time is 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Students will receive two meals, lunch for the day and breakfast for the next.
Meals can be picked up at any school location and students do not need to be present. Parents, students or designees will need to provide the student's name, ID number or date of birth, and name of school currently attending.
The district will be operating the regular school meals program, so pricing policies are in effect. To promote cashless transactions, the food & nutrition department will encourage parents to submit payment through myschoolbucks.com, which is waiving transaction fees until September 30, 2020. Meal prices remain unchanged.
These recordings are Q and A sessions hosted by district leadership including me! Each day is a different topic.
