Confidence
The 6th grade lens is Confidence. At the beginning of the year, Confidence meant to be brave when I am nervous. I have changed a lot from just being nervous to being confident working in groups with partners that I usually would not really choose to be my partners. I feel like I have demonstrated this by being able to cooperate with other people's ideas into a group project. At the beginning of the year, I demonstrated this lens by working in groups that I would usually not really choose to be my partners like for the science exhibition. At the end of the year, I demonstrated this lens by being able to come into class and be able to be confident in working with more new people who I would not choose regularly to be my partner. I can also be confident coming into school because there is not the cleanest language. I can deal with some of the naughty language and now can be more brave and confident in the school.

What is your definition of Confidence?
My definition of confidence is to be brave when I am nervous
What is something that you have confidence in doing?
I am confident when I am doing sports and doing soccer outside.
How has your confidence developed during your first semester?
One example of my confidence this semester by being challenged to present in front of the class and other classes.
One other example is that I have grown confident by being a reader.
What can challenges or failures teach us about confidence?
One example about a challenge or a failure that tough me about confidence was when I made the mistake of making animas chocolate when we were on a time crunch. I had put 3 cup of milk in the pot and was boiling it when my mom called me for something. I when over and forgot all about the animas chocolate and when I came back the milk was all over the pot and had boiled over. I had to clean it up and to this day I know that I now have confidence in managing my time more wisely
