What we did for the Charlie Hernandez summative assignment was me and my partner Lucy created a different ending for the ending of our book: Charlie Hernandez. 

I demonstrated effort in this project because me and my partner put a lot of writing into this project.   

How we prepared  for our debate was first we filled out a doc that had use prepare for our debate and then we coped and pasted information as quotes and numbers so that we could have a stronger debate. We also made sure that our resource was credible by checking if it was a a reliable source.    

We sadly did not win our debate even though we had strong information, credible sources, correct quotes, and numbers. I think it was parley because people wanted books not to be banned so they voted for that side.

I demonstrated refinement in this project because me and my group looked over or work a lot.  

The most challenging part of the essay in my opinion was the part where we had to watch the video. I was really confused on what to do at first because I had came in late. I figured it out eventually and from there every thing was as smooth as butter. I think that another part that was challenging for me was when you had to copy and paste all of the words from the separate boxes and figure out witch was the introduction what was the first peace of evidence, etc. Also the last part that I though was hard was to work with music. I liked it but at the same time it detracted me. Some times I turned it off but for most of the time I was working I really needed to turn it off. One other thing that was very challenging was ending my essay because I am a very bad Constitution-est.  

The part that I though I was a strong writer in was when I got into the evidence. In the beginning of the intro I really had to delete a lot of it because I kept jumping into the evidence and not working on the intro. I though that it was nice to state my argument and be able to know that when this essay was done maybe I could put it somewhere where people might change there opinion.  Another time when I felt like a strong writer was when I was looking back at the work I had dine and noticed that I did a lot of hard work. It was also really nice to know that I had basically all the work done I just needed to copy, paste, and fill in the blanks with words.      

I would tell a future 6th grade essay writer that If they don't work well with music DON'T listen to it, you will get work done faster and be able to maybe do an extension.  I would also tell them to use the work that they have already done. It will be so much easier to do that then to look up a new sight and  do more work to find the right information. Also tip for the next 6th graders is to when your doing the information with the websites and by who PLEASE remember to have good evidence. It will help your argument a lot.
