Dear Future Self,
I am 12 years old currently and I’m in 7th grade. I love Tennis, Skiing, and Volleyball and let’s not forget Mountain biking. I love to go home from school and then go to a Volleyball game. I love to hang out with my friends and occasionally walk up to Riverview with a friend and play volleyball up there (and ding dong ditch all my friends in my neighborhood). I love what we are currently learning about in ELA and I don’t mind Math class so far! Have you gotten an even better serve in Volleyball? I hope you’re doing better with your foot and I want you to know that even if your reading this and you still don’t have full ability to play sports, that you will be able to soon and this isn’t forever. Please keep playing tennis no matter what, I know how good you are at it and you NEED to go play with Mom or even just a friend more often because I know you're slacking off and haven’t been playing. I am currently having a couple challenges figuring out things in digital media, did you figure out Adobe Premiere yet? I hope you're doing well and never give up. I know sometimes you're not doing well, but you got this and you are an amazing and talented person.
Sincerely, Greer Corley.
Paint Me Like I Am
Why don’t you paint me
like I am?
Paint me active,
Playing tennis or volleyball
With the people I love.
Paint me with my dark and curly hair
And all my friends around me.
Paint me on a sunny day, while it’s cool outside.
Paint me with my dogs and my mom.
Paint me somewhere I belong.
Somewhere cool and chill
Where all my loved ones are.
Paint me without my discouragement
Paint me without my sadness
Paint me without my disappointment in myself.
Paint me so my best traits show.
Why don’t you paint me like I am?
Paint me energetic,
Laughing, skiing down a steep snowy slope
Paint me laughing.
Paint me with my freckles
And blue-green eyes
Paint me on a boat
In the ocean
In the sun
