This Journal prompt was about "show don't tell" which if you don't know this, It's well, showing the feelings of the person (or in this case, a chipmunk) without saying it in the sentence. 

This project was an Infographic about Our book, 'Two Roads' and our "notice and note" sign posts. we used canva so that our work would be artistic and more interesting to read.   

This is a doc where we were assigned to write a letter to the main character to "make him feel better" about the Indian School he goes to called Chillagi. this creative writing helped to show that we were listening to the story.

What did you do for this project?

I made an infographic on Canva about traditional Hispanic folklore versus Charlie Hernandez folklore.

I had to refine my infographic alot over the weekend of thios assignment. Why I had to is because as I started to look over it, I didn't make much sense to the assignment. I had to delete my entire thing and restart by looking up more about the traditional folklore. As I started to rifne it, it was looking much better and more organized and I am glad I looked  over it in the first place.

What did you do to prepare for this debate?

I worked with my one partner on this assignment and we both in the start had to create a google doc about three different reason why we should stick to a four day week. We then put it into one doc and made our debate presentation. 

Did you win? Why or why not?

Me and my partner Ryder lost this debate because we were supposed to have a 3 person group and instead we had 2. We had good info and presented mainly well but we both could have spoken up a bit and we had no rebuttle for the other team.

I feel like the most challenging part of this essay was writing the Intro/Conclusion. Why I feel this way is because when we were first starting, I had trouble finding what I should say to get the reader hooked into the essay. The reason I had trouble with the Conclusion was because I want the reader to take action and I didn't know what to say for it. I feel like either Body Paragraph #1 or 2 #. This is because #1 has good evidence and analysis' about working parents and how hard the four-day week is for them. But on the other hand, I think that Body Paragraph has good points about youth crime in the counties and how it increased with the four-day week. If I were to give advice to the future 6th graders, I'd tell them that when they hear they are writing an essay, not to worry, it's not as complicated as may seem. I'd also tell them to DO THE PREVIOUS HOMEWORK ABOUT DEBATES AND ESSAYS and that they should write their Hook and Thesis, then start the body paragraphs and then come back to the bridge. Don't get stressed!
