math mindset reflection

I can take longer to solve questions and this will help me be more through with my answers and over all have a better learning mindset. Also I have learned that mistakes are important because they help us learn and with this we improve over all for example we did a project were we drew a triangle with all different sides and then cut it out with one cut by folding it in strategic ways. also, I personally, hate math I have always seen it as a one way ticket to hell and self-hatred but even though I am quite good at math I still don't appreciate it. Also the math myth of math person is the false belief that some people are born with the unique ability to be very good at math and some people are not but this myth is not true because this is not supported by any evidence.

Geometry Quiz REFLECTION 1 and 2

In these quizzes we tested about geometry specifically about transformations rotations ,and reflections. And on the 1st quiz I got a 5/5 and on the 2nd quiz I got a 5/5 as well and how I achieved this is I worked really hard to maintain a hard work ethic in order to get great grades on all of my assignments. Also I think a good goal for myself would be to continue my healthy life style of studying and getting stuff done and also maybe asking for extra work and try to move up to advanced math!

In this test we tested on a lot of topics but the main one being angles and rigid transformations. And in this test I got a meets this is a sum of my hard studying and getting work done. And in my work book I got a approaching I don't have a reason for this because I feel I have been studying very hard and if you look at my other grades you can see that so I don't know why I got this grade but I am very disappointed in this grade and I think I can do a lot better. I think a good goal for me next UNIT would be to try to get a better grade such as a meets and continue to work very hard.

Iready diagnostic reflection

On my math Iready test I did very well and I even had 495 as my original score but I decided to retake the quiz and got a 524 on the 8th grade testing system at the beginning of the school year. Also in the national norm I scored higher and better than 81% of the entire country of people that are in 8th grade. Also in my domains which are basically my subjects in math the best one I tested on was Measurement and data where I got a mid 8th grade level grade but my lowest grade was in algebra and algebraic thinking where I got a early 8th grade level grade. I think a good goal for next time would be to aim for a higher level on algebra and try to do better on all my grades and get a mid level 8th grade grade one way I can do this is by getting help on understanding algebra and doing brain challenging assignments that target algebraic thinking.

In this quiz most of the content of this quiz was about stuff we have been learning about such as dilation's scaled copy's rigid transformations and proving congruence on triangles and other shapes. Also my grade on this quiz was a meets also a 4/5 this is because I worked really hard to maintain my knowledge and keep facts and strategies fresh in my mind to use on different math quizzes and questions. I think a good goal for myself for next math quiz of test would be to get a 5/5 and also get a meets or exceeds and one way I can do this is asking others for help and if I do not understand a question or strategy I will ask about it and learn about it until it makes sense!!!

Unit 2 workbook and quiz dp reflection

In this unit most of what we learned was about was dilation's, similarity, and slope and dilation's are were we take one shape to another using a scale factor for example triangle A have side lengths of 3, 3, and 5 and triangle B has side lengths of 9, 9, and 15 what is the scale factor and I would say 3 also for similarity we determined if two figures were similar depending on angle measures and side lengths like if triangle A has angle measurements of 50 degrees and 30 degrees and triangle B has angle measurements of 30 degrees and 100 degrees we would say they are similar because they have the same angle measures which means they are similar. Also for my unit 2 workbook grade I got a meets and for my unit 2 test grade I also got a meets this is because I paid attention in class and studied for the test with tools like delta math and homework we were assigned. Also I think a good goal for the next unit would be to aim for a meets or exceeds this is because they are both very high grades and I feel I can reach for a exceeds if I try hard enough and it will push me to go higher than before and excel as a learner.

ALGEBRA quiz #1 dp reflection

In this quiz most of the content was about proportional relationships and this was shown by using examples with the speeds of turtles. On this quiz I got a meets or a 4/5 this is because I worked hard and payed attention in class and over all did very well on all my grades and did lots of studying. I think a good goal for the next quiz would be to get a 5/5 or Exceeds because this is better than my previous score and it will push me to go further than what I did before.

In this quiz most of the content was about how to determine if a point is on a slope or not and how to determine the slope of a line. On this quiz I got a 5/5 or a meet+ and I got this grade because of my hard studying and contribution to my math understanding, I worked really hard on all my work and always complete my homework early and accurately. I think that a good goal to set for my next quiz would be to go for another 5/5 or meets+ beacuse that is the highest grade you can get and it is a healthy trend to set for myself.

Most of the test content was about liner and non liner relationships and determining the slope of liner problems that this was shown in lots of different ways for example there are three graphs that show the distance and time of a runner running, which runner is the fastest, and we would say runner three because he can run the farthest in the shortest amount of time. Also for my test I got a meets because I worked really hard and always checked my answers and if I was not sure about something I would give it my best guess and move on. Also I studied a lot and made sure that I knew all the info before the test and even though I got some wrong, I learned from my mistakes and continued. Also for my workbook grade I got meets+ because I finished all my work accurately and I even took on a challenge extension to boost my grade from a meets to a meets+. I think that a good goal for next test would be to work even harder to know my stuff so that I can ace the test with flying colors instead of getting some wrong, also I could do even more challenge extensions to boost my grade even further!

Mid unit 4 test dp update

the content of this test was about liner equations and many variations of algebra and because of me practicing for this I had no problem solving all of these problems with ease. Also the grade I got for my test was a EXCEEDS, I got 14/14 questions right and I blew it out of the water! I think a good goal for next test would be to aim for another exceeds and keep up the good work because I worked hard to get all of the stuff remembered and as you can see it was very beneficial.

This quiz was about stuff like systems of equations and substitution and stuff like that. On my quiz I got a 5/5 which is like a meets to an exceeds and I got this grade because I worked really hard to study and make sure that I know this material and that I would do really good on the test which I did. For the next quiz I think a good goal would be to get another 5/5 or exceeds because that would show that I got this information down and I am ready for the next challenge!

The content of this test was mainly about substitution and algebra and we answered questions like word problems, equations, and problems where you had to write the equations yourself. The grade I got on my test was a Exceeds I got this grade because I worked really hard to study and remember all the content for the test and make sure that I was mentally prepared in order to get the best out come ever. In my work book I got a Meets+ this is because I pushed myself beyond in order to properly learn all of the material and overall set myself up for success. I think that a good goal for next time would be to study even more to get Exceeds on both of them because this would show amazing progress and I would continue to learn a tremendous amount.

This quiz was primarily about function and identifying if a table graph or equation was a function or not. The grade that I got on this quiz was a meets because I studied and paid attention in class and made sure that I knew the material in order to set myself up for success. I think a good goal for next quiz would be to study even more and not rush because even though I got a meets I missed one question and I feel that I could do better.

The content that this quiz was about was input and output rules and graphing inputs and outputs on a graph and finding the volume, height, and radius of cylinders, cones, and spheres. The grade I got on this test was an exceeds because I worked really hard to study and know the material so that I was prepared for when the actual test happened. The grade that I got on my math work book as an exceeds this is because I worked very hard to get all of the work done even if I could not be here for some of the work! I think that a great goal for next test and unit would be to get things done early because I learned that when you don't procrastinate a lot can become easier and the work and stress load gets a lot lighter so in order to make things easier for myself and my peers and teachers I must not procrastinate!

these quizzes were about multiplying, subtracting, adding, and dividing exponents. There were also word problems that required us to pull information from the text to organize the equation to solve the problem. On these quizzes I got a meets on both of them, this is because I paid attention in class and made sure to make good notes so that I could use them during the quizzes. I think that good goal to set for me to be successful in math class would be to ask for help when needed because sometimes I get nervous to ask for help because some people might be disappointed in me or think I'm incompetent but the truth is that everybody needs help sometimes and I need to focus on what I need to know vs what others think.

This test was about numbers and operations, primarily focusing on multiplying, dividing, adding and subtracting scientific notation. We did multi layered equations to find one number or amount of something. On my test I got a meets because I took good notes, appropriately used my resources, and studied really hard. On my workbook I also got a meets because I paid attention in class, worked hard, and went above and beyond on some lessons. I think that a good goal for next unit would be to aim for an exceeds for next test and make sure that I am confident in what I learned because I was not very confident in this quiz.
