Lucia and I made a 10 slide show on why group work can benefit us in the work space but unfortunately we were turned down and one of us had to find a new internship.
For my internship I interned at Splashdown Diving and Splashdown is a dive shop that instructs people how to dive and organizes trips for new divers. The overall mission of this business is to help people get to see the wonders under the waves. I chose this internship place because I love diving and I thought it would be really cool to build a relationship with the owner. I learned a lot from this internship but some of my key takeaways are always be respectful and grateful, make sure to establish communication because this will make everything so much easier, and last just have fun because this should be an awesome opportunity and I really enjoyed myself! I think that this internship impacted by future by just showing me how to do specific things and now that I know these things I will never stop diving, and as Christina says "you don't stop diving when you get old, you get old when you stop diving". I think that I made a pretty good impact on the community because I was able to satisfy costumers and make them happy with their diving needs and I was able to talk with people and overall had a lot of fun! Also for my internship presentation I got an exceeds. I put a lot of work and details into my slides and I presented accurate experience and advice for next years 8th graders. Also for my internship journal I got a meets because I provided detail in what I did and learned and I met the word count requirement exponentially.
