This section showcases the work of our talented Morley Makers!
Morley joined the network of Brilliant Makers clubs in 2019 (started by the organisation Access Art) which provides children with access to hands-on, creative activities.
The clubs aim to enhance key skills in Art, and Design and Technology, but more specifically in the craft of ‘making’. This can take many forms, including 3D model making, textile projects, painting and sculpture.
Children are encouraged to use unfamiliar tools and materials and have the chance to experiment with different joining and shaping techniques. Our Brilliant Makers club aims to give children the freedom to shape their own ideas, and develop important problem-solving and evaluative skills that can be transferred across the curriculum and into many areas of life. This hopefully highlights the importance of ‘making’ as a vital part of education and life-long learning.
