The IDEXX Quanti-Tray Sealer PLUS seals water samples in Quanti-Trays after adding the appropriate test reagent. The sealed trays are then incubated and analyzed to determine the amount of bacteria present in your water.

Instructions

Collect water in a sterile bottle. Keep the sample cool and test it as soon as possible.

Add the appropriate IDEXX reagent (Colilert®, Colilert-18®, Enterolert®, etc.). Cap the bottle and mix gently.

Dispense the prepared sample into the Quanti-Tray. Avoid creating bubbles while filling.

Insert the loaded tray into the Sealer PLUS. The heated rollers automatically seal the tray in seconds.

Incubate the tray according to the instructions for the selected test.
See how many cells in the tray that are glowing to get the Most Probable Number (MPN) result. This estimates the amount of bacteria in the water (higher MPN means more bacteria).
