The Accu-Tab system is a water-based cleaning machine that is compact. Instead of relying on potentially dangerous liquid chemicals or volatile gases, it uses a vertical plastic tube called a hopper. This hopper is filled with solid 3-inch calcium hypochlorite pucks which are stacked. A side stream of water is pumped in to flow exclusively across the bottom layer of the stack, steadily dissolving the tablets to chlorinate the water, while gravity automatically pulls the remaining dry pucks down to replace them as they erode.
What is its role on the farm?
Safely kills dangerous germs like E. coli without the risk of chemical spills
The solid pucks maintain their strength for up to a year and are easy to transport
Gives farmers a low-maintenance solution to protect crops from disease and prevent water line clogs.
How does it work?
The Accu-Tab system works by loading solid chlorine pucks vertically into a hopper. Water is pumped into the base of the unit, where it washes over and steadily dissolves only the bottom layer of tablets. As these bottom tablets erode, gravity automatically pulls the remaining dry stack downward to replace them. The chlorinated water then goes into the main supply, with the chlorine dosage controlled by adjusting the speed of the water flowing through the base.
Instructions:
Solid chlorine pucks are loaded vertically into a hopper
Water is pumped specifically into the bottom of the machine.
The water washes over and dissolves only the bottom layer of tablets.
Gravity pulls the remaining dry stack downward as the bottom tablets dissolve.
The chlorinated water flows out and mixes into the main water supply
The chlorine dosage is adjusted simply by increasing or decreasing the water flow rate.
