FINACIAL ASSISTANCE SCHEME

Please seek assistance from staff in the General Office to apply for the Ministry of Education and School Advisory Committee Financial Assistance Scheme (MOE FAS & SAC FAS). Both schemes are for Singaporean students only.

i. MOE Financial Assistance Scheme


A student is eligible for MOE FAS if he or she meets either of the following criteria:

  • Gross Household Income (GHI) not exceeding $3,000 per month OR

  • Per Capita Income (PCI) not exceeding $750 per month


Household members include parents, unmarried siblings and grandparents of the child as well as other dependents living in the same household. PCI is computed by dividing the gross household income by the number of members in the household.

Benefits under Scheme

Application forms can be obtained from the General Office or MOE website. Applicants are required to produce ALL the documents stated below together with the FAS application form:


  • Latest payslip of working parents and other family members OR Letter from the Employer certifying gross income, and

  • CPF Transaction Statement or Contribution History for past 12 months

  • For employed household members with other sources of income (eg rental, pension and etc) and all self-employed household member: Latest IRAS Income Tax Notice of Assessment

  • Student/Matriculation card for full-time students at tertiary institutions and Identity card for full-time National Servicemen, if applicable

  • Copies of NRIC of household members, other than parents and unmarried siblings of the child

  • Documents showing proof of legal guardianship

  • Any other documents as and when required by the school for the purpose of verifying the income

ii. School Advisory Committee Financial Assistance Scheme

1. Eligibility

a) Students who are in need of financial assistance but do not qualify for the MOE financial assistance scheme.

b) Gross Household Income between $3,001 to $4,400 per month or Per Capita Income between $751 to $1,000 per month.


2. How to apply

a) Obtain application form from the General Office.

b) Submit completed application form with all relevant documents attached to the Administration Manager through your Form Teacher.


3. Type of assistance

a) Full Subsidy of School Fees + Standard Miscellaneous Fees

b) Textbook Subsidy

c) Uniform (2 sets)

d) $204 Transport credit per annum for students taking public transport

e) One-time reimbursement of spectacles capped at $100 with supporting receipt issued in the name of the FAS recipient with family PCI of $400 and below.


4. When to apply

a) Students are to apply for the financial assistance scheme in the month of October for the following year.


Note: The Financial Assistance Scheme is awarded on a year-to-year basis. Students will have to reapply the following year.
