Founder and Director of The Whitehatters; a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) focused on community development and responsible advocacy and activism, Ms Shahrany Hassan's impactful work has earned mentions in Parliament and been featured numerous times in the media. 

 

Ms Shahrany spent more than two decades in the corporate and government sectors where she gained extensive experience in general management with a focus on strategic planning and execution. Aside from leading The Whitehatters, Shahrany currently serves as the Chairperson for Casa Raudha[1], a charity that stands against domestic violence and one that provides shelter for abused women and children, and is a member of the Ministry of Social and Family Development’s Alliance For Action to strengthen marriages and family relationships. She was recently appointed a member to the Inter-Racial and Religious Confidence Circle (IRCC) Refresh Workgroup “to develop recommendations to strengthen the IRCC’s capabilities, increase diversity among IRCC members, and to build more cohesive networks within the community”, under the Ministry of Culture Community and Youth. She is also a part of the Founders’ Memorial Committee, formed to “engage widely and consult all stakeholders on the objectives (and) concept” on the memorial in tribute to the founding fathers of Singapore, is an ExCo member for Unleash The Roar - a national movement which aims to raise the levels of Singapore football and rally the nation behind a shared dream, a board management member with the Sultan Mosque and contributes to the Youth Mental Wellbeing Network.
