The approach of Pre-University Seminar 2022 centres on the stories of the every day Singaporean, which together make up the Singapore Story. This centricity on narratives focuses on the interwoven stories of people of the nation to guide student inquiry and organise the rich learning gained through dialogic interactions among participants and with invited speakers.
Narratives serve as the instrument that provides the structure for meaning-making and the synthesis of learning. They will also help to contextualise abstract concepts and ideas in concrete lived settings.
Through dialogic interactions, participants will meet and interact with leading figures from the public and private sectors during the dialogues with Resource Persons, Persons of Focus and through the Panel Discussions. By engaging with and inquiring into these diverse narratives, participants will develop a keener appreciation of how everyday individuals can contribute to the Singapore Story
The seminar is designed to provide experiential learning in an authentic setting and is an excellent platform for the exploration of social and national issues.
