"Teaching art is not just about creating artists; it's about nurturing the human spirit and
fostering the courage to explore the boundless realm of creativity."
I believe every child possesses a spark of creativity — my role as an educator is to help them uncover and nurture it. Art and Maker Education provide powerful avenues for students to explore ideas, build confidence, and develop empathy for the world around them.
My teaching is guided by three core principles:
Create with Purpose: Students make meaningful connections between art, culture, and personal experience.
Think with Hands: Through design thinking and making, they learn resilience, problem-solving, and reflection.
Grow Together: I build a classroom culture of curiosity, collaboration, and care, where students learn from one another and take pride in their creative process.
By integrating both traditional art practices and digital/maker technologies, I aim to cultivate future-ready learners who are imaginative, thoughtful, and confident in expressing their ideas visually and tangibly.
“Art invites us to see. Making invites us to act. Together, they empower our students
to shape the world around them.”
