Continuing the Journey as an Artist–Educator
My personal art practice keeps me grounded in the joy of creating and constantly reminds me of what it feels like to be a learner. I explore both traditional and digital art forms, allowing curiosity and experimentation to guide my process.
By continuing to make art, I model for my students the value of lifelong learning, creative resilience, and aesthetic exploration. Every artwork I create informs how I teach — whether it’s demonstrating a new technique, experimenting with digital tools, or exploring mixed-media compositions.

I love exploring the possibilities of technology in artmaking. Using the Procreate app on my iPad, I experiment with layering, brush effects, and digital collage to express ideas that merge realism with imagination.
My digital artwork often serves as a springboard for classroom discussions on contemporary art, media literacy, and the creative process in the digital age.

I've used a recycled metal container and air clay to make the mushrooms & bee ornaments. I've taught students on how to make this recycled Terrarium in one of the Makerspace workshops.
