Becoming frustrated or agitated with the task at hand
Engaged in conflict/argument
Emotions need to be deescalated
Is seeking adult approval
Strategies:
More regulation needed: Allow student to run errands needing to leave the classroom.
e.g. take books from pigeon hole, water bottle from the GO, go somewhere to take/drop something off etc.
Less regulation needed: Engage in classroom activities.
e.g. erasing the board, emptying the bin, sweeping the floor, writing on the board, clicking PPT slides, writing on Teacher’s worksheet/copy, opening the windows, reading announcements, giving out worksheets etc
