Why Visual Schedules?
Helps students to be clear of the tasks to be done
Makes classroom learning more structured
Increases on-task behavior
Helps students to be responsible for their own learning
Encourages students when they check off the completed tasks
Implementing Visual Schedules
Write down tasks to be done in point form on the white board or screen (if using PPT)
Pictures and clipart might help make instructions more comprehensible
Give individual visual schedule to students who need more support (e.g. usually slower to follow instructions)
Individual schedules could be placed on the student’s desk
Put a tick on task that have been completed to give students a sense of achievement
