Look into pencil grips to make it easier to hold a pencil correctly.
Learn about brain breaks to help the student refocus when studying.
Break down task into smaller, manageable chunks.
Allow differentiated spelling task – e.g. allow student to spell first 5 words out of 10 in spelling list
Provide the student extra time to work on written tasks.
Encourage student to slow down when writing and to proofread the work.
Give extra practice of sight words and/or word families (onset and rime) with the student.
Encourage the use of basic phonics skills and/or syllabification to spell out the word.
Provide 1-to-1 support to help students in writing activities.
Use smart devices or apps to make learning spelling fun and engaging.
Use reward system to motivate child to increase effort in learning.
Have a word bank for keywords to increase vocabulary
