At Clementi Town Secondary School, our Aesthetics Programme embodies our school’s mission to nurture passionate learners who aspire and grow into confident, creative, and empathetic individuals. Aligned with our vision of developing Future-Ready Clementeens, the programme inspires students to appreciate the Arts as a powerful medium for expression, reflection, and connection with others.

Through authentic experiences such as the biennial School Musical, students explore diverse aspects of performance, from cast to creative to crew, and learn the values of Adaptability, Self-Discipline, Perseverance, Integrity, Respect, and Empathy (ASPIRE). These experiences nurture in them the 21st Century Competencies (E21CC) of critical and inventive thinking, effective communication, and collaboration.

Our Performing Arts CCAs, the Symphonic Band, Modern Dance, Guzheng Ensemble, and Drama Club, consistently achieve excellence at the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Arts Presentation, while also engaging the wider community through public performances that spread joy and build social connectedness.

In the classroom, students experience the Arts in real-world contexts. In Music, they create and perform across genres such as Samba Percussion, Pop Band, and Digital Composition. In Art, they explore design and visual storytelling that relate to personal and societal experiences. Through these explorations, Clementeens learn to appreciate beauty in diversity and to use the Arts as a language of empathy and innovation.

Ultimately, the Aesthetics experience in CTSS seeks to cultivate future-ready Clementeens who are confident thinkers, empathetic leaders, and creative contributors, individuals who see the world not only with their minds, but also with their hearts.
