We are learning to use reading skills to have a deeper understanding of the text read.

Success criteria:

• I can make predictions about the text I am reading

• I can ask questions to clarify my doubts

• I can summarise the most important ideas in the text read. 

Use of questions - make visible the thoughts you have as you read the text. Useful to ask clarifying questions as you read the text. 

Use of illustrations can help to understand the meanings of words / phrases.
