Our students researched two iconic endemic plants of Istanbul: the Judas Tree (Cercis siliquastrum) and the Istanbul Snowdrop (Galanthus elwesii).
They explored the plants’ scientific characteristics, growing conditions, ecological significance, and conservation status. The students then prepared a digital presentation including visuals, maps, and interactive elements to illustrate their findings.
The presentations were shared and discussed within classroom groups, allowing students to reflect on biodiversity in their local environment and exchange ideas with their peers. All final works were uploaded to a shared drive for collective access and further reference.
