Each post requires a description, alt text for each image, and a citation. Below is an example:
Caption: Have you ever found a mysterious, old-looking photograph and wondered whether it was a tintype or ambrotype? We did at the Distinctive Collections! Though "tin" is in the name, tintypes are not actually made out of tin, but iron, which makes the photograph attracted to magnets. We tested this theory by placing a magnet to the photograph, and there was an attraction! While we don't quite know who's in the photograph, we can definitely say that it's a tintype!
Alt Text: Man sitting on a fence and posing for a photograph.
Citation: Tintype, undated, MIT Museum, Records of the Museum Director, AC-0539. Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of Distinctive Collections, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
