During the course of your work in the DDC, you may have access to MIT records that contain confidential information (not yet open to the public). You are responsible for confidentiality and should not discuss or share information outside of the DDC. This professional discretion includes details of staff meetings and the names of researchers, donors and visitors to the DDC.
After hiring, you need to complete two forms: The Application for Use of Manuscript Material and an Access Agreement Form. All researchers are asked to sign these forms and they are a reminder of rules of working with archival material and the sensitive documents one may see as they work with collections.
