Story #006:
Ms. Caufield

Ms. Caufield, 6th & 7th Grade ELA Teacher

Story by Fallon P.

"I am a teacher here at MICDS. I teach language arts, and am a soccer coach at the Upper School. I have a family, which is very important to me. My mom has and still is having the biggest impact on my life. She goes above and beyond, and was always very involved when she was young. She was able to have fun, and was my best friend.

After her passing when I was 24, she is having just as much of an impact on me. She has given me motivation to make her proud and to be like her. My mom has also made an impact on my sister, and my friends, and so many more people. I discovered when I talked to my mom's friends just how my mom made them feel and how she impacted them for the better.

My sister and I are a year apart, and grew up together as best friends. Even though we were only one year apart, I have never felt any more favoritism between my sister and myself. We had almost the same of everything. When my mom passed away, my sister and I were able to be there for each other.

In terms of my favorite things, I have quite a few. Ice cream has been my favorite food for as long as I can remember. My passions are reading and exercising, because it makes me excited to do it. I also played basketball, soccer, and cross country before I graduated high school. I miss being able to play, but coaching gives me the same feeling. It helps me escape from the real world.

And if I could win a million dollars, I would buy houses or properties to make money!"
