After the Appointment
You've conducted a great appointment, formed rapport, and showed your buyers some great homes. Now it's all about the follow-up!
It is recommended to send another video once you are completed for the day. Tell them how nice it was to meet them and get a better understanding of what they are looking for and explain what the next steps are. You hear me talk about forecasting expectations and this is another example of doing so. Most agents will not follow up and the client will not know what to do next, so they will go back to Zillow or R.com, etc and start looking at homes again. After all of your work the last thing you want is them going back to the drawing board where Agents will be allowed to call them and try to earn their business!!! This is very important..
Follow Up:
1) Send a video (example on next page) forecasting expectations of what to expect next.
2) Set them up on a MLS Portal search immediately after the appt. Do this from your car if you can and DO NOT forget.
3) Text them once you send the Portal and instruct them they must click the blue link to activate it.
4) If you told them you would send them your lender's information do it!
5) Add them to your visual whiteboard so you think about them daily. I ask myself, "What can I do for X today?'"
6) Be sure to follow up in the next few days to see if they want any changes made in the search and to offer your suggestions regarding the properties in the search.
The fortune is in the follow up. Make sure to follow through.
