1.Plan for 8 extra hours of work at home per week. (minimum)
2. Students will display their body of work in the Methacton Art Show.
3. Students in AP Art are expected to take the Collegeboard AP Studio Art Exam.
4. Purchase a sketchbook and bring it the 1st day of class. You may use a prior sketchbook that has been used, it does not have to be new, it could even be hand made.
5. Most supplies are offered here in the art rooms, however if your student needs any specific material, he or she will be expected to purchase it.
6. Our student is required to maintain their art supplies in an organized manner at school that can also be easily transported home. Below are recommended items. Any artbin that would house the materials the artist needs (paint, pencils, yarn, found objects, ceramic tools, plastic bags/ziploc) and a portfolio case 18x24 or carry cart for 3D students. **this may vary depending on the students chosen portfolio: 3D, 2D, Drawing** (the ones listed are visual examples. those specific items do not need to be purchased)
