Under NO circumstance will vandalism be tolerated in the classroom. This pertains to the classroom, the materials within classroom, and all works created by others students. Failure to comply will result in removable from the AP Art Program.
All materials should be properly put back and stored away and the end of every class period. Examples include but are not limited to:
Tables wiped down
Brushes/Pallettes cleaned and in drying rack
All physical art works stored in proper place (in progress cubby/finished artwork cubby/drying rack)
All papers placed in folders. All folders placed in back packs.
Any spills are cleaned up immediately
NO TRASH IS LEFT ON FLOORS, COUNTERS, TABLES, ETC.
Students will ONLY work on AP ART work in class. It is unacceptable to use the time in class to work on other assignments for other classes.
All pieces are due ON peer review days. If a project is unfinished, it must be at least 90% completed to present on peer review days. Grades will reflect as a percentage of completion in PowerSchool for the project until students present the project in the NEXT scheduled peer review.
There will be afterschool hours posted weekly for students.
There will be no grade changes in PowerSchool after marking period end. However, students will be required to complete all marking period assignments in compliance with AP CollegeBoard expectations. Your grade in PowerSchool does not reflect the grade received from Collegeboard on your portfolio.
Only AP Art students allowed in the classroom during AP Art periods
AP Art students are welcome to work in A104 with Mrs. Mann during ANY free period they have, or if they are finished early in another class and want to come to get work done. ONLY AP Art work is to be done in the AP Art classroom.
If students are absent during Peer Critique days with an excused absence they will be exempt from the Peer Feedback grade. If students have an unexcused absence they will receive a 0 for their Peer Feedback grade. (On Peer Critique Days students receive 3 grades: 1 for their finished project, 2 for presenting their project, 3 for providing peer feedback to their classmates projects presented)
IF you fall behind schedule it is imperative that you continue to stay on task for the next assignments due dates. For example, if a project is not completed and a thumbnail is due, complete the thumbnail due and go back to the unfinished project in your personal time, not during class time. No assignment will be accepted after two weeks past the assignments original due date.
ALL projects must be completed and submitted via Google Classroom
