People with Possibility is designed with both neuroscience and YOU (an overworked, time short Mercy Corps team member) in mind.
Each topic covers one week. This gives a chance to visit the topic together as a team and practice applying the material between sessions. In addition to the videos you may watch together as a team, there are short videos under "Additional Resources" in each session that may prove of interest and be something you choose to view on your own.
The sessions on this website will help steer the conversation, as well as offer you prompts to help apply the practices in three specific application areas, which we call "Practice Moments" (one-to-ones, team meetings and onboarding).
Videos are the primary delivery model of content of People with Possibility. Using the videos, the same content is delivered to all parts of Mercy Corps. Applications may differ, but the same, brain-based information is given to all parts of the organisation.
Teams together: The discussion facilitator brings the material to her/his own team. The team then discusses learning, applications and how to create their team culture together.
Creating team habits: As team members apply the content individually and as a team, habits and the culture develop.

Have Candid Conversations
The following applies once you have attended a People with Possibility kickoff.
Dear Future Facilitators,
It has been a real pleasure to get to know you. Thank you for your active participation in the kickoff call to introduce People with Possibility.
We thought you may have some questions about how to bring this to your teams. We have tried to answer some here. If there are any questions you have that are not answered, please let us know!
You will lead your teams for seven (7) People with Possibility sessions. In each session you will watch videos and discuss the content. The discussion guide gives you detailed information as to how to set up the conversation, and which questions to ask.
The first steps will be to 1) set a consistent meeting schedule with your team and 2) ask them to anonymously complete this short survey. You could do this through a "launch email" introducing People with Possibility to your teams. We've provided a launch email with sample text here.
Look at the materials yourself (or with another manager) before your team session so you feel well prepared.
The more open and honest you are in the sessions, the better the results! Your team will find it easier to share their stories and experiences if they have heard yours. There are some discussion tips here.
At the end of each session, you and your team will decide how you would like to practice what you have discussed.
All of the materials are stored on this People with Possibility website.
Use the ‘Sessions’ dropdown to navigate to each week’s session.
For a summary of each week, use the ‘topics’ dropdown.
If someone cannot join a session, ask them to watch the videos for the week and think about responses to the discussion questions. This way, the group will stay together along the learning journey, and you will have a common vocabulary.
Set yourself a calendar reminder for a time between sessions. When you get the calendar reminder, send your team an email to remind them of what you discussed in the session. You can copy the text from here (Getting started > Facilitators > Reminder Email > click on your most recent session) into an email for your team.
Add a line reminding the team about what you agreed to practice during the week.
If your team mainly uses Teams, Skype, Slack, or another messaging platform, you can use that to share the reminder.
You should have been added to the People with Possibility group in Workplace. This is where we will share updates about the program. You can also see how other teams are finding the sessions. Please also add updates and let us know how your sessions are going!
There is a link to the feedback form pinned to the top of the Workplace group. Or you can click here. Please use this for any feedback you have on the content or the process.
Please let us know if you have any further questions. If you are thinking it, we're sure someone else is too!
Warmly,
Hala
