Around 50 people attend the Ceilidh with Skylarking Band at the community centre hosted by Mendlesham Community Charity (MCC).
It was a great evening with lots of dancing, food and the easter raffle.
The dancing was fun to watch as dancers figured out their lefts from their rights and their do-si-dos from their promenades!
A big thank you go to the Scouts for organising the food, Skylarking for their superb playing skills and patience, and the Raffle contributors. £107 was raised in total to support future events.

Toy and Book swap
We start the year with our 3rd toy and book swap on 25th January between 10 am and 12 noon in the United Reform Church, which is opposite the shop. Refreshments will be available.
Ceilidh
On March 29th 2025 there will be a Ceilidh in the main school hall with a licensed bar and a light supper included in the ticket price. We have decided to embrace technology and tickets priced at £10.00 per person are available online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/mendlesham-community-charity-mcc/ceilidh-dance
Summer Fair
On Saturday June 7th between 12 noon and 5.00pm will be the Parish Summer Fair on the playing fields with a Craft Fair in the main school hall where refreshments will also be available. We have started contacting prospective stall holders as well as those who have attended before but if YOU or YOUR GROUP would like to participate please do get in touch. It’s a great opportunity to raise funds, as well as awareness of your group. It will be an enjoyable day with stalls, live music, displays, activities and food and drink. There will again be NO admission charge.
Pantomime
The pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk was a great success so we plan to book Chaplins for another pantomime performance in early December 2025.
We are looking at other event ideas too but if you have a suggestion for an event or need help with funding please do get in touch.
