Literature and Film

Book Club

The mission of Book Club is to encourage the Wootton community to read. We understand that being a high school student, it may be hard to find the time to pick up a novel. Through our meetings, we hope that members will be motivated to read more. In addition, we want to help readers explore new genres and novels.

Creative Writing Club

We aspire to help everyone destress and cultivate their writing skills through writing a series of open-ended prompts. Also, we strive to create an open and friendly environment where people are able to share their stories and form connections with one another.

Film Making Club

Instead of just studying film, our club will be making short films. We will educate the members on how to make films, then we will go out and make our own short films to be shown to our club.

Just Books

Just Books is a book club that will benefit the Wootton community by offering a safe and comfortable space for exchanging ideas, exploring different genres, and challenging students' comfort zones in a fun and helpful way. We encourage everyone to come and share their favorite books, expanding our knowledge of various types and learning more about new cultures that we might have never learned about. We also want to make sure that everyone feels comfortable in our club and that we discuss diverse topics and books that adequately reflect our community.
