NCAA

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Initial-Eligibility Clearinghouse, located in Iowa City, Iowa, handles registration to determine a student’s initial eligibility to play sports at a Division I or Division II college or university. Seniors are encouraged to register with the Clearinghouse online.

IMPORTANT! When signing up for the SAT/ACT, request test scores to be sent to the NCAA eligibility center (using code 9999). There is a fee for registering with the Clearinghouse. Fee waivers are available to all students who have received an SAT or ACT fee waiver. The Cearinghouse customer service telephone number is 877-262-1492; representatives are available from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. The fax number is 317-968-5100. Please be sure that the high school registrar sends your transcript to the NCAA Clearinghouse for processing.

Dual Enrollment & NCAA

Dual Enrollment coursework may be used to satisfy NCAA core course requirements if the courses appear on the student’s high school transcript with grade and credit and meet all requirements for an NCAA-approved core course. College courses must be placed on the student’s high school transcript with a designation that the course was completed through a two- or four-year college. Courses completed at a college should not be submitted for your high school’s list of NCAA courses. However, Dual Enrollment courses that meet core course requirements and are taught by your high school instructors should be submitted for inclusion on your school’s core course list.
