While it may seem like you have plenty of time to prepare for college, now is really the time to start! College application deadlines start the fall of your senior year, so colleges will be basing their decisions on your freshman, sophomore and junior years. Big Future by College Board offers personalized tasks for 10th and 11th graders on their account dashboard. Students who complete these tasks become eligible to earn entries in their monthly scholarship drawings for $500 and $40,000.

Prepare for the PSAT. Strong test scores as a junior may qualify you for academic honors, including National Merit as well as programs and recruitment for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, rural, first-generation and low-income students.
