The Maryland Tuition Waiver for Homeless Youth provides financial assistance to  homeless youth who are enrolled as a candidate for an associate degree, bachelor’s degree or vocational certificate at a Maryland Public institution of higher education.

The purpose of Tuition Waiver for Foster Care Recipients is to provide financial assistance to foster care youth.

The Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) is Maryland’s higher education coordinating board and is responsible for establishing statewide policies for Maryland private career schools, public and private colleges and universities, and for-profit career institutions.
