How do I buy sports tickets? 

• The best way to go on the gofan.co/app/school/MD24754 website. Another way is to go to www.baronathletics.net under the tickets page to purchase. Additionally, another alternative is to go to the team's Instagram and visit the link in their bio. 

What should I bring to a Barons sports game?

• Most importantly, bring your student ID! This helps prove that you're an actual student of B-CC attending the games. Make sure to bring your phone to take action shots of your barons playing hard. Bring some money if you want to buy snacks at the game. Lastly, make sure to dress up in the game's theme (if there is one) to show your B-CC spirit!

Can I get into a B-CC sports game for free since I play a B-CC sport?

• Unfortunately, you cannot. All students must purchase tickets.

What is the theme of the game?

• You can find the theme on the team's Instagram page. Or, feel free to ask a player or a friend! 

Where can I find the schedule/updated schedule?

• You can find the schedule on the B-CC website. Another way to find the schedule is on the B-CC Schoolwide SGA (@schoolwidebcc) Instagram account. There is a pinned post with all the schedules.

What should I do if my classes are far from each other?

• Make sure you're not stalling in the hall (like talking to friends) because that would most likely make you late to class. Also, let's say you're going from F0 to A4, that's a very long walk and a lot of the time students are late. Make sure to let your teacher know so they can note that you may be a few seconds late.

How do I know my counselor?

• At the top of the B-CC website, there is a Counseling button and if you click on it, it will take you to a page where you can find your designated counselor. You can also go to the counseling or main office and they can help you find your correct counselor.

Where can I submit SSL hours?

• The Counseling Office has a QR code to submit and upload these. 

What can I do to gain SSL hours?

• You can visit this masterlist of SSL opportunities. Inside the media center, you can also find a bulletin board of regularly updated options! If you have any further questions, contact Ms. Yener, our SSL coordinator: claudia_f_yener@mcpsmd.org. 

How many SSL hours do I need to get the special award past 75?

• If you get 240 SSL hours by your high school graduation, you should receive the Certificate of Meritorious Service. You will also receive a purple tassel for graduation.

How can I get academic help/a tutor?

• New this year, each teacher has designated office hours during lunch - check your teacher's Canvas page to find out what their schedule is. 

• After school, TAP is where you can access free tutoring for each core subject. This occurs Monday-Thursday in the F Wing from 2:45 pm - 3:45 pm.

• You can also visit Honors Societies for each subject. Students apply to these societies to help other students who may need help in the subject area. 

• See your counselor to request a tutor for the subject you're needing help in - they may pair you with an older student who has taken your class before!

What is the best place for lunch?

• All the places around B-CC are great! My top recommendation though would be Andy's. It's so close and so good!

Who's the baron?

• The Baron is selected each year by Schoolwide SGA and it is up to the Baron themselves if they want their identity to be revealed. Most of the time, it is a secret and there is a reveal at the end of the year.

How do I know my bus number?

• You can find your bus number on the B-CC Website. There are two buttons, one is "Bus Schedule Arrivals 2025-2026", and the other is "Bus Schedule Departures 2025-2026."

What is the concession booth by the vending machines and when is it open?

• It is most commonly open during an indoor event, like the musical or a basketball game. A good rule of thumb is to always have some cash on hand.

How can I join a committee?

• At the end of the school year, there will be a form sent out to all students to apply to a committee of their choice. At the very end of the year, or during the summer, the people who have been accepted into the committee should receive an email saying they are officially in.

How can I help run the pep rallies or MC them?

• If you decide to take the Leadership class or join the Spirit Committee, you would be able to help plan and organize and possibly run the pep rallies. That is a great chance to be the MC too.
