Any student can start a club at B-CC (yes, even freshmen!) by following 3 easy steps. Check out our Start a Club tab here.
The information currently posted reflects the clubs that registered at the beginning of the 2025-2026 year. Contact Ms. Fishel (emily_c_fishel@mcpsmd.org) and Mr. Ziebro (mark_j_ziebro@mcpsmd.org) with your updated information.
One of the biggest keys to club success is to promote, promote, PROMOTE! Students have done this successfully through social media accounts (read MCPS best practices here), morning announcements, posters initialed by administrators, and registering to be part of the fall club fair. If you need help with any of these steps, ask your sponsor.
The first step is to go to your sponsor and let them know when you want the fundraiser to be, what it will entail (e.g. a bake sale or profit share), and then they will work with the business office to get it approved. Fundraisers may not occur if they are not approved by the School Business Administrator and Principal.
You can view our spreadsheet of all current clubs here, or go under Find a Club to browse by category. We recommend keeping up with your club's Instagram page or other means of communication in the event that meeting times and locations are adjusted.
Not at all! The best thing to do is contact the sponsor or student leaders. All contact information is under Find a Club and social media links are included.
The MCPS Certificate of Student Engagement is an initiative to “recognize secondary students for commitment in participation in a wide range of MCPS Athletic and Extracurricular Activities." Students can receive a Bronze Certificate for participation in 1-3 extracurricular/athletic activities, a Silver Certificate for participation in 4 - 6 extracurricular/athletic activities, and a Gold Certificate for participation in 7+ extracurricular/athletic activities.
