Hello My Most Amazing Artists. Today we will be experimenting with a new art material, Charcoal. This is the Charcoal we made in the outdoor classroom a few weeks ago. Charcoal is a bit crumbly and ours still looks like the small sticks which we filled our charcoal kiln with in the forest. Below are some examples of how to use the charcoal to create sipral forms which show depth. The shading helps to add perspective to our drawing. Don't be afraid to blend the charcoal with your finger, but you can use a tissue wrapped around your finger if you like.
