These two videos show an example of drawing the outline of a shell with charcoal. Draw the shell from any direction you like. If it seems easier to draw it looking at the spiral end, feel free to do it this way. Remember to add shading in the dark areas. The next one is about shading a spiral. Then another one about how to use a Tortillon or blending stub. If you would prefer to just try it out and not watch this video feel free.
